matériO Fresh for the second time

On May 24, we organized yet another roundtable of glassmakers, graphic designers, stage designers, manufacturers of materials, and other designers of all sorts. Participants received and exchanged information on innovative materials, their unique properties and scents, led heated debates, and inspired one another. Would you like to be a part of the next event? Sign up for the upcoming matériO Fresh, which will take place on September 13, 2017!

The second printed issue of Material Times is out!

In May, we presented the second printed issue of the Material Times magazine. This time, its theme is: What are we creating here? We hope that you will enjoy the interview with Carole Collet, a visionary artist, who is developing speculative plants. Other texts draw your attention to the mass laboratory production of flowers, difficulties concerning labelling of organic or environmentally friendly products, or original root carpets made in the Netherlands. Don´t miss the interview with David Vávra, the report from a forest Peruvian city, the homage to František Skála, or the essay on collectibles and collecting.

Klára Horáčková – Evoluce: 17.5. – 7.7. 2017

We cordially invite you to “Evolution”, Klára Horáčková´s exhibition in which the artist present her objects made of ingeniously combined and layered glass sticks, some of which are shaped over the glass burner, remaining us of the wrinkled surface of igneous basaltic rocks which are home to the North Bohemia. And since the author is a graduate of the glass college in Kamenický Šenov, a North Bohemian town, her works are a real return to the roots. It´s very well possible that the imprint of the majestic Panská skála at the vicinity of Kamenický Šenov, the gate to hell to some and to paradise in the eyes of others, is symbolically present in all her masterpieces. Her works are intuitive memories of the future, because in human life, nature is eternal.

Galerie Kuzebauch at Révélations exhibition in Paris

At the beginning of May, we attended Révélations, an arts and crafts fair in Paris, where we exhibited objects of Ondřej Strnadel, a glass artist, as part of an installation called VIVRE VERRE. The exhibition marked a great success and visitors very much enjoyed the objects. This exhibition is a part of our vision to present the contemporary Czech art glass to the world. The project was co-funded by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
